Alces alces - Limited Edition Embellished Print
Limited Edition prints are hand embellished by the artist to enhance the texture and depth of these remarkable pieces. Embroidery is added to selected locations where it will best highlight the details within the piece. These prints are limited to only 50 total. As these are made-to-order, please allow 1-2 weeks to ship.
Moose (Alces alces) are the largest living species of deer with males averaging between 840-1500 pounds. These massive ungulates are found throughout the northern hemisphere in temperate and boreal forests as well as subarctic regions. In Eurasia, they are known as elk (not to be confused with North American elk!). Moose populations in temperate regions have been in sharp decline since the 1990s primarily due to increased predation, habitat decline, and increased exposure to parasites not normally found in their range. However, moose populations in arctic and subarctic regions remain stable.
