Lemur catta (Ring-tailed lemur) - 16"x20"
Found exclusively in southern Madagascar, the ring-tailed lemur (Lemur catta) can be spotted amongst the scrub land as well as high in gallery forests. Of the 21 extant lemur species, the ring-tailed lemur is the only one that is primarily terrestrial. These charismatic primates congregate in matrilineal social groups of up to 30 individuals. They are incredibly vocal which helps to organize their social groups. Habitat destruction, hunting, and the exotic pet trade have all contributed to drastically decreasing numbers of these animals. Planet Madagascar is working hard to preserve and restore critical habitats for all of the unique wildlife on the island, with a focus on lemur conservation. A portion of the proceeds from this piece will be donated to Planet Madagascar to support their efforts in preserving the unique wildlife of Madagascar.
This piece is displayed in a hand built solid wood frame. Glazing is museum quality anti-glare and UV-resistant glass.
Please note: The shipping is set at $50 and is an estimate. If additional shipping fees are required, they will be billed separately.
