“To the lover of wilderness, Alaska is one of the most wonderful countries in the world.” -John Muir
I remember the first time I saw a sea plane as a child. I was walking down the back roads (barefoot of course) of North Pole, Alaska and stumbled upon a perfect line of float planes parked on a small body of water. I was in awe! I had no idea this was a thing! I must have stared at them for a solid 5 minutes (an eternity for a child!) before moving on my merry way to pick berries and wildflowers. They’ve been such a strong symbol of Alaska to me ever since.
