Over Hurricane Gulch - Alaska Railroad - Limited Edition Hand Embellished Print
Limited Edition prints are hand embellished by the artist to enhance the texture and depth of these remarkable pieces. Embroidery is added to selected locations where it will best highlight the details within the piece. These prints are limited to only 50 total. As these are made-to-order, please allow 1-2 weeks to ship.
Both the longest and the tallest bridge on the entire Alaska Railroad line, the Hurricane Gulch bridge is one of my favorite parts of riding the train. Construction of the bridge began in June 1921 and completed in August of the same year. The bridge was actually constructed simultaneously from both sides! A feat of engineering, to be sure.
The fluffy white clouds sit low over the mountains as they often seem to do in summertime, giving a sense of coziness and safety amidst our vast Alaska wilderness.
